Traditional illustration techniques that utilize tools and materials such as the airbrush, pen and ink, watercolor and acrylic paints are still by far my favorite mediums for creating and experimenting. Although these mediums are used far less frequently in the digital age, I believe that a solid illustration background is the key to effectively utilizing computer illustration software to their fullest potential.
I still love the smell of paint, and the challenge and potential of a blank canvas. As you can see from teh examples below, wildlife and nature are my preferred choice of subject matter. I enjoy hiking and photographing new reference material and source for my paintings.
